Evelina Huck
Evelina Huck developed a fascination with the classical works of great Russian artists such as Repin, Shishkin, and Levitan. Their portraits, sweeping landscapes and portrayals of life in the Russian countryside inspired her love of art, art History and a desire to excel in artistic expression. In her art, Evelina strives to capture the textures of life through the use of bold and vivid colors. She would like her works to inspire viewers to pause and appreciate the beauty around them.
She continues to pursue her talent for painting through workshops and classes in the use of oils, oil pastels, watercolors and charcoals. Her artwork has been shown in galleries and published in “Vibrations”.
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Evelina immigrated to the United States in 1997, and became a U.S. citizen in 2002. She resides in Snohomish, Washington.
Patricia Haines-Ainsworth
Although she enjoys many different mediums, Pat works mostly in egg tempera, acrylic, and cross-stitch. She fell in love with the vivid colors of threads and fibers while co-founder and vice-president of Com-cempts, Inc. Com-cepts is an embroidery design firm in Seattle. The texture of the silk, cotton, and nylon threads and the vibrant colors of the dyes made a strong impression. While working with Com-cepts, Pat designed embroidery on CAD systems for companies such as Nike, Eddie Bauer, Nordstrom, Sunrise, and others. She retired nine years ago to spend more time with her two children and pursue fine art projects which included Rainy Day Creations’ hand painted needlepoint canvases. For the past seven years, Pat has also been an art docent in the Monroe School District.Pat is originally from eastern Pennsylvania. She studied at Penn State University and received her degree in Advertising Art with a minor is photography at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Since then she has worked as art director for a television station, a typesetting firm, and Custom Embroidery, another embroidery firm in Seattle.
Much of her work is influenced by her graphic arts background. Bold colors and geometric design as well as her love of alphabets and letter forms are often apparent in her paintings and cross-stitch designs. Also, a big influence is her love of theatre, history, and drama. Pat is also a writer and co-founder of Last Leaf Productions which produces touring Shakespeare productions and programs for children.

Coleen Allen
Coleen Allen is a full time artist and instructor. She conducts several classes and workshops in the Puget Sound area. The passion to express herself in fine art began at an early age. After attending the Seattle Academy of Art, and various workshop structured classes, she soon discovered the freedom of versatility in mixed media.
Teaching a variety of ages and groups, she believes the process of creating and viewing art is a healing experience for all. Having painted in every medium and subject, her acrylic flowers are one of her favorites. They show a spirit of happiness and a movement of dance with big bold colors and wide moving curves.
Heather Keith Freeman
Heather Keith Freeman has been painting since she was old enough to hold a brush, on any available surface (much to her parents’ chagrin). She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Cognitive Science, and a former robotics engineer. After a couple of years in that field, though, she’d had enough of the real world. She quit her job, moved across the county, and devoted herself to art full-time.She was born with a severe hearing impairment that went undiagnosed until she was four. Not letting that get in her way, however, she taught herself to read lips, and went on to study classical piano and many other forms of music, in addition to art.
Her artwork explores the anthromorphization of abstract ideas using mythological and psychological archetypes; the extremes of emotion as conveyed through intense colors and long, sweeping lines. Glory, possibility, exploration, and wonder are all central themes.
A recent refugee from the urban wastelands of Los Angeles, Ms. Freeman lives in Snohomish, Washington with her husband and a black cat names Nuit. She suffers from the curse of being interested in absolutely everything, and so never has any free time.
Bonnie Cole
“I have lived in Granite Falls for thirty years, and enjoyed visiting Snohomish, with its historic buildings and shops filled with antiques. As a young woman, I worked as a photo re-toucher, and colorist in Everett, and also in Florida. I took up photography to enhance my drawing, and now I spend most of my free time pursuing portraiture using my camera.
I enjoy creating pictures with a twist. My ‘Spirits of Snohomish,’ hopefully, provokes a feeling of the past and the present living side-by-side, causing us to remember those who have gone before.”

John Holmes
John has been taking photographs for over 30 years. In this time he has meandered from Viet Nam, Korea, Thailand, Japan, and numerous islands in the Western Pacific, to Panama, Kuwait, and over 40 states in the continental U.S.In the beginning all his photographs were via film. When digital photography came to be useful, he migrated to it. Presently his work includes WYSIWYG (WHAT You See Is What You Get) digital photographs through restorations and manipulations of digital images.
The majority of his work is with natural settings. Things that are looked at, but not seen at first glance. Some photographs are purposely misleading, where the object of the shot may not be what is easily seen, and some intentionally shot to make the viewer pause and wish they were there. Or at least not where they presently are.
